Carousel, Grid, Masonry, List, Photo Grid, Quote Wall, Timeline, Trust Meter, Badge, Ticker, and more. Switch layouts in the builder without re-embedding. Every layout is responsive from mobile to desktop, so the same Trustpilot reviews can read as a homepage carousel or a full reviews-page grid.

SEO review schema

Toggle on to inject AggregateRating and Review JSON-LD into your page.

Rating filter

Set a minimum rating and hide reviews with no written text.

Brand-match styling

Background, card, text, star, border, and button colors. Card corner radius and shadow depth. Pick a font family. Toggle the reviewer name, avatar, date, rating, and platform logo on or off so the widget reads as part of your site.

Core Web Vitals safe

Lazy-loaded below the fold, async-injected, scoped CSS that does not bleed into your design system. The widget is built to stay out of the way of your Lighthouse score.

The complete guide to embedding Trustpilot reviews on your website

Trustpilot is one of the largest open review platforms on the web. Embedding your Trustpilot reviews on your own site is one of the highest-ROI conversion moves a brand can make: studies from Spiegel Research, Northwestern, and BrightLocal consistently show conversion lift when authentic third-party reviews appear next to a CTA. This guide walks through what actually matters when you embed a Trustpilot reviews widget: choosing a layout for the page, optional SEO review schema, display filtering, and keeping the widget light for performance.

01

Why the default Trustpilot embed leaves conversion on the table

Trustpilot's own embed widget is functional but conservative: a single fixed layout and a branded blue header you cannot recolor. It works, but it looks bolted on and does little for your brand. A dedicated widget changes that. With Poper you choose from 21 layouts, set your own colors and fonts, and decide which elements appear on each review card. The reviews are the same Trustpilot reviews; the difference is that they now read as a designed part of your page instead of a borrowed iframe.

02

Choosing a layout for the page you are building

Layout choice should follow the page. Carousel works on the homepage above the fold, where vertical space is tight and you want to rotate variety. Grid and Masonry are best on product and pricing pages where visitors want to scan many reviews to spot patterns. List suits legal-sensitive pages where reviewers tend to write longer, detailed reviews. Quote Wall and Timeline work for long-scroll storytelling pages. Trust Meter and Badge are compact aggregate displays for placing near a CTA. Poper lets you switch between all 21 layouts in the builder without re-embedding.

03

Adding SEO review schema to your page

Poper can add Schema.org structured data to the page when you turn on the Enable SEO Schema toggle. The widget injects a JSON-LD block describing your business as a LocalBusiness, with an AggregateRating built from the reviews and the individual reviews listed underneath. Search engines read structured data to understand a page. Whether and when a search engine shows star ratings in its results is always the search engine's own decision, not something any widget can promise. What Poper does is make sure valid, well-formed markup is present so your page is not held back by missing structured data.

04

Filtering which reviews appear on your widget

Poper includes a display filter on the embedded widget. You can set a minimum rating, so only reviews at or above the rating you choose are shown, and you can hide reviews that have no written text. This is useful for a clean wall of substantive reviews on a landing page. Keep filtering light and honest: a representative set of reviews builds more trust than a feed curated to the point of being unbelievable, and platform terms generally expect a representative sample.

05

Performance: keeping your Lighthouse score intact

Review widgets are notorious Core Web Vitals offenders: heavy synchronous JavaScript and unscoped CSS that bleeds into your design system, moving your Largest Contentful Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift the wrong way. Poper's widget loads asynchronously, defaults to lazy-loading below the fold, and uses scoped CSS that cannot bleed. After embedding, run Lighthouse Mobile against your page; the widget is built so you see no meaningful change to your scores.

Quick reference

What is Trustpilot Reviews Widget: Embed Reviews & Star Ratings on Any Site?
