How to use it

How to add a DeSo feed to your website

Three steps. Under two minutes. No derived keys, no node setup, no developer needed.

  1. 01

Paste a DeSo username or public key

Drop in a DeSo username (like @nader or @diamondhands) or a base58 public key. The widget resolves the profile against a public DeSo node and starts pulling posts, creator coin price, and diamond counts directly from the chain.

Poper builder searching @acmecreator and resolving to diamondapp.com/u/acmecreator with 47K creator coin holders, NFT PFP verified badge, and a neon-green Connect to DeSo button
  2. 02

Pick a layout and brand it

Choose Timeline, Grid, Coin Showcase, Top Diamonded, or List. Customize colors, fonts, spacing, creator coin price display, and diamond rendering to match your site exactly.

Six DeSo widget layout thumbnails (post stream, NFT-PFP profile, creator-coin holders, hex profile, mobile stacked, monetization stats) plus brand color and font controls
  3. 03

    Copy the snippet and embed

Paste the one-line script tag into your site. Works on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Ghost, Framer and 250+ platforms.

What you get with Poper DeSo Feed

Six things that matter when you are paying for a DeSo widget, not 30 features no one uses.

Pulls directly from public DeSo nodes

DeSo is a purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain for social, not an EVM rollup. Posts, follows, diamonds, NFTs, and creator coin trades all commit directly to the DeSo chain. Poper queries public DeSo nodes (deso.com, node.deso.org, and community-run mirrors) over the public REST and GraphQL APIs, with automatic failover if a node is unreachable. We cache responses at our global CDN edge so visitors do not hit a node on every page view. No vendor lock-in to Diamond, no API keys to rotate, and no platform that can suspend your account because your identity is a DeSo public key on-chain.

Creator coins built into every profile

Every DeSo profile has a tradeable creator coin priced by a bonding curve. Poper renders live coin price in USD or DESO, the 24-hour change, and the holder count next to the feed. Many creators use their coin as a paid-membership primitive, so the embed turns your site into a live economic display.

Diamond tips render natively

Diamonds are DeSo's on-chain tipping primitive. Each tipper can give 1 to 6 diamonds per post, with each level worth more DESO. The widget surfaces total diamonds, top tippers, and tip USD value so visitors see verifiable social proof.

Public key identity on the DeSo chain

Your DeSo identity is a base58 public key on the chain itself. Handles resolve to public keys through any node, so your embed keeps working across every DeSo client (Diamond, Desofy, Openfund). No company can suspend a key.

Censorship resistance, by protocol

Posts are committed to the DeSo chain in finalized blocks. No client can silently delete or edit a post, and no platform can deplatform the underlying content. For writers, journalists, NFT artists, and creators with risky topics, the embed is a chain-anchored archive that survives any single client going down or being acquired.

Core Web Vitals safe

Lazy-loaded below the fold, async-injected, scoped CSS that does not bleed into your design system. Creator coin prices and NFT previews hydrate on viewport entry only. Under 40KB gzipped. No CLS, no LCP regression, no Lighthouse hit even on coin-and-NFT-heavy feeds.

Crypto creators

Crypto creators who use their DeSo coin as a paid-membership or tipping primitive embed the feed with live coin price next to it, turning the website into a refresh-based economic display. Coin inflows lift visibly when supporters can see the chart on the founder's own page.

NFT collectors

DeSo NFTs are first-class post types committed to the chain. NFT collectors and traders embed their hexagon-PFP gallery with chain-anchored rarity badges so the showcase on a personal site is provably the same content as on Diamond.

Three-position commentary podium with top-diamonded creator on platform 1, a tokenomics chart on the right, and a featured analysis post pinned to the side

Blockchain thought leaders

DeSo is the only major social protocol with creator coins and diamonds built into the base layer. Blockchain commentators and DeFi-native analysts embed the feed alongside their tokenomics breakdowns so visitors see the analysis next to the on-chain post that started it.

Web3 builders

Web3 builders shipping DeSo apps, smart contracts, and DAO tooling embed the feed next to their code and contract documentation. The chain handles permanence, the embed handles distribution, and no single client going down can take the contributor activity with it.

Poper vs other DeSo feed widgets

Most DeSo embeds are tied to one client (usually Diamond), do not render creator coin price live, or skip diamond rendering. Here is how the popular options stack up against Poper.

The complete guide to embedding DeSo on your website

DeSo (Decentralized Social) is the purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain for social applications, founded in 2021 by Nader Al-Naji after his work on the original BitClout project. Unlike Lens or Farcaster, which run on top of Ethereum-aligned Layer 2 networks, DeSo is its own custom chain engineered from the ground up for social workloads: posts, follows, diamonds, NFTs, and creator coin trades all commit directly to DeSo blocks rather than to a separate identity registry. The flagship consumer client is Diamond (deso.com / diamondapp.com), but the chain is also consumed by Desofy, Openfund, Setu, and dozens of niche clients, all reading and writing the same shared on-chain state. This guide walks through what actually matters when you choose and configure a DeSo widget in 2026: the chain architecture, public key identity, creator coins, diamonds, and how DeSo compares to Web3 social rivals like Lens and Farcaster.

01

How the DeSo blockchain and the social-native protocol stack actually work

DeSo is a Layer 1 proof-of-stake blockchain whose state machine is shaped specifically around social primitives. Where a generic chain stores account balances and contract storage, DeSo natively stores profiles, posts, follows, likes, diamonds, reclouts, NFTs, and creator coin balances as first-class state. Every action a user takes (publishing a post, tipping a diamond, following a profile, buying a creator coin) is a signed transaction submitted to a DeSo node, batched into a block, and committed to the chain. Public DeSo nodes (operated by the DeSo Foundation, by Diamond, by Openfund, and by community contributors) expose REST and GraphQL APIs that let any client read the full social graph without operating its own node. A widget that wants to embed a DeSo feed must resolve the username to a public key via the node API, then query the same node for the latest posts, coin price, and diamonds. Poper does this automatically: paste any username, public key, or feed slug and the widget hits the right node, fails over to backup nodes if the primary is unreachable, and caches responses at our CDN edge for fast subsequent loads. Because the data is on the DeSo chain itself, your account is portable across every client and your embed keeps working even if a particular node operator disappears.

02

Public key identity and why on-chain accounts beat platform accounts

DeSo's biggest divergence from Web2 social is identity ownership. Your DeSo identity is a base58-encoded public key registered on the DeSo chain itself, controlled by a private key that lives in your wallet (typically the DeSo Identity service or a hardware wallet integration). No company can suspend your DeSo public key, change its associated username without your signature, or revoke its access to the chain. Compare that to X, Threads, or any other centralized social: those accounts are licenses that can be revoked, suspended, or rate-limited at the platform's discretion. For founders, journalists, NFT artists, and creators with strong personal brands or risky topics, the on-chain key is a meaningful upgrade. For widget embeds, the implication is even more practical: a DeSo embed cannot be broken by a platform suspending your account or rotating its API. The widget resolves the public key through any DeSo node and queries chain state, so the only way to break a DeSo embed is to take the entire DeSo chain offline, which is a different category of risk from a single corporate account ban. Poper leans into this by querying chain state on every cache miss so your embed always reflects the canonical on-chain truth.

03

Creator coins, diamonds, and the economic primitives unique to DeSo

DeSo ships with two economic primitives that are baked into every profile and post: creator coins and diamonds. A creator coin is a per-profile token whose price is set by a bonding curve denominated in DESO (the chain's native gas token). When supporters buy your creator coin, the price goes up; when they sell, it goes down. Many creators use their coin as a paid-membership primitive, gating Discord access, premium drops, or community channels behind ownership of a minimum amount of their coin. The widget can render live creator coin price (in USD or DESO), the 24-hour price change, and the total holder count next to the feed, which turns the embed into a real-time economic display. Diamonds are the chain's on-chain tipping primitive: any user can tip a post 1 to 6 diamonds, each level worth a progressively larger amount of DESO. Diamond counts beside posts function as on-chain upvote signals, except backed by real value movement rather than free likes. Poper surfaces diamond totals, top tippers, and the USD value of all tips on a post, giving visitors a verifiable look at the economic value the audience has moved. These primitives are why DeSo is uniquely positioned for creator and DeFi-social hybrid use cases: the chain is the marketplace.

04

Diamond, Desofy, Openfund, and the multi-client landscape

Diamond (deso.com / diamondapp.com) is the flagship consumer client and the most active surface for DeSo activity, but it is not the only one. Desofy is a TikTok-style short-video client. Openfund is a fundraising and tokenized investment platform built on DeSo creator coins. Setu is a community-and-DAO-focused client. Several other clients (Cloutfeed, Polygram, NFTz, Cloutavista) serve niche audiences and surface the same shared chain data with different UIs. Because all clients read and write the same DeSo state, a post published from Diamond shows up in Desofy and Openfund, and a creator coin trade from Openfund affects the price displayed in Diamond. For embeds, this multi-client architecture matters: your widget pulls from chain state, not from any single client's database, so the feed reflects activity across the whole DeSo ecosystem. Poper's embed renders chain-anchored badges that show which DeSo block a post was committed to, plus a sameAs link back to the canonical Diamond URL for SEO and social citation. If a particular client (even Diamond itself) goes down or pivots, the embed continues to work because the underlying data lives in the DeSo chain.

05

DeSo vs Lens vs Farcaster and the broader Web3 social field

DeSo, Lens Protocol, and Farcaster are the three most-cited Web3 social protocols in 2026, and they take meaningfully different architectural approaches. Lens (built by the Aave team and launched in 2022) anchors profiles to NFTs on Polygon: every Lens profile is a Profile NFT, every post is a Publication NFT, and every follow mints a Follow NFT. The result is a social graph that lives entirely as transferable on-chain assets, with gasless interactions through Lens V3 dispatcher contracts. Farcaster (founded in 2020 by Dan Romero and Varun Srinivasan) keeps identity on-chain (FIDs in an Optimism Layer 2 registry) but stores casts off-chain in a peer-to-peer Hub network for free, instant interactions. DeSo takes a third path: it is its own purpose-built Layer 1, with every social action committed directly to DeSo blocks. The tradeoffs differ. DeSo gives you full chain-level finality and built-in economic primitives (creator coins, diamonds) but requires its own node infrastructure. Farcaster gives you fast, free posting via Hubs but pushes the durability question onto Hub operators. Lens gives you fully tokenized social objects but pays gas for every interaction. For website embeds, DeSo's choice to keep social activity on-chain is what makes the feed economically rich: the embed can show coin price, holder count, and tip value because the chain itself is the source of truth. Poper supports all three protocols (deso-feed, lens-protocol-feed, farcaster-feed) so creators with multi-protocol presence can mirror activity onto the same site.

Quick reference

What is DeSo Feed Widget: Embed Posts, Creator Coins, and Diamonds From the DeSo Blockchain?

A DeSo feed widget is an embeddable script that pulls posts, creator coin metadata, and diamond tips from public DeSo blockchain nodes and renders them on your website with public key identity resolved against the on-chain DeSo state.

Key facts

  • DeSo (Decentralized Social) is a custom Layer 1 blockchain founded in 2021 by Nader Al-Naji, formerly the lead behind BitClout
  • Unlike Lens or Farcaster, DeSo is not built on top of an EVM Layer 2; it is its own purpose-built chain engineered specifically for social workloads
  • Every post, follow, like, diamond tip, and creator coin trade is committed directly to the DeSo chain, with public REST and GraphQL APIs for any client
  • Creator coins are bonding-curve-priced tokens built into every profile, often used as a paid-membership or tipping primitive
  • Diamonds are DeSo's on-chain tipping primitive, where each tipper can give 1 to 6 diamonds per post, each level worth more DESO
  • Diamond (deso.com / diamondapp.com) is the flagship client, but Desofy, Openfund, Setu, and other clients all consume the same chain state
  • Public read access requires no derived signing key, no OAuth, and no API key, so embeds work without any visitor-side Web3 setup
